Unofficial Tab Results

Following are the preliminary tab results as posted by Chris Paolella from America.  The results 
were never released by Cork.  All that can be sure is what teams made the break, even then 
Cork have admitted that Princeton should have made the break but didn't.  Other appeals are 
still awaiting a response over 18 months later.

  • (*) The Championship Committee has confirmed that Princeton A's result in round 4 was inaccurately transcribed. The result should have been a 4 rather than a 1, leaving the team with a total of 28 points and placing it in the break. - C.Paolella's note
  • (#) This teams round 5 score is being checked. All Teams in this round (U.L. A, Smith B, U.Malasia B, DIT A) were awarded 0 points indicating that the Tab sheet was lost. The Sheet was seen by an Irish Adjudicator as he handed in the tab sheet from his round. U.L. A were awarded 4 points (Adjudicators notes on the sheet were : P. O'Halloran 75 pts, C. Flynn 62pts: Teamwork Lacking and P O'Halloran only took 1 POI). This person saw the Tab sheet being handed in therefore it appears that the sheet went missing AFTER being handed in.  An adjudicator from that round (Tim O'Connor Kings Inns), recently confirmed that Limerick recieved 4 points but was not sure if the sheet was handed in
  • Limerick A's Round 2 is also in Question. Pentarian A scored 1 pt, Bently A 3pts and Limerick A and Bates A both were credited with 2 pts. No team scored 4pts. This cannot happen and indicates that the scores were incorrectly entered in the Tab System.
  • If we assume that the 4 pts in round 5 were awarded then Limerick A should have finished in joint 130th position on 22pts (this was accepted by most other colleges). If we also assume that Limerick A recieved the 4 pts in round 2 then that would have moved the team up to joint 82th position.
